March 28th marks the official start of opening day with all 30 teams playing. Home team favorite here in McKinney, The Texas Rangers, face off against The Chicago Cubs at 3:05 P.M.
The Texas Rangers have failed to do anything special in the playoffs and regular season since making the World Series in 2010 and 2011 however 2019 is a hopeful year. The Rangers have added many new players to their roster who are all going to be exciting to watch. Ronald Guzman and Isiah Kiner-Falefa have both come off of great rookie season and look to continue their success this year.
If you were hoping to get an autograph from a major player such as Elvis Andrus, there are some guidelines to get it. Autographs are allowed from the minute the stadium opens to 45 minutes prior to the actual game starting.
If you won't be able to attend the game at the stadium, there is other ways to view and listen to it. 105.3 The Fan is the best way to listen to the broadcast however 90.5 offers an in-park listening to feel like your actually at the game. On TV, fox sports southwest will offer a complete viewing of the game with an after-game show to recap it if you happen to miss it.
The 2019 season for the Texas Rangers is going to be an interesting one, and the opening day game against the reigning World series champion in 2016 will likely foreshadow how their season will go.
