A Central and South Texas grocery store favorite makes its way to the metroplex. H-E-B, which also owns Central Market, has a new location in Hudson Oaks, which is west of Ft. Worth, and about 100 miles from McKinney.
“With H-E-B and Buc-ee's now in the Ft. Worth area, I’d make a trip out there this summer to go to both stores,” teacher Mrs. Steinhauser said.
H-E-B’s new DFW location gives a new a new option to shoppers which is helpful since more than one millions people moved to the area in less than a decade.
“My first time in H-E-B was when I was younger and we were in South Texas,” senior Josie Cowley said.
H-E-B offers many things to their customers like meal packages and curbside grocery pickup. No two H-E-B stores are alike and each store is tailored to the needs of the customers in that particular location.
“They have good meal packages and samples,” sophomore Colby Chick said.
With its current location, H-E-B is known to many as the college students' grocery store.
“I don’t know if the new location is more convenient because I will be in College Station next year, but it is pretty exciting because it’s getting closer to the metroplex,” Cowley said.
With the new Hudson Oaks location, which opened May 10, H-E-B and Central Market shoppers will continue to see the chain grow with new stores throughout the metroplex.
